Smoking meat-electric or old school

Body I love the flavor of smoked meat and have for most of my adult life spent countless hours tending a wood fired smoker. I’ve used everything from the old barrel shaped water smokers to homemade iron smokers mounted on a trailer that I pull behind my pickup.

Fruitvale FFA students recognized

Body Recently at the Texas FFA Convention, we had the honor of celebrating some very deserving Fruitvale FFA members as they received the Texas FFA Lone Star Degree, the highest degree the Texas FFA Association can bestow upon its members.

Van FFA students recognized

Body Congratulations to our Texas Lonestar Degree recipients and National American Degree recipients. The Lonestar Degree is the highest degree honored by the State of Texas and is awarded to students who have completed specific requirements within their FFA journey.
The Van FFA received their Gold Ranked National Chapter Award recently during the 98th Texas FFA Convention. The chapter qualified for the National Level and they will be ranked at a later date. The Van FFA is ranked among the Top 25 chapters in the entire State of Texas. Courtesy photo
