Vandals end season with Area championship loss to Aubrey

Body Hopes of moving on to the regional semifinal round of the Class 4A, Division 2, state football playoffs came to an end for the Van Vandals Nov. 17 as they lost to the Aubrey Chapparals, 35-14, in the Area Championship game at Royse City.

Vandals win bi-district championship

Body A near-perfect performance offensively for the Van Vandals was too much for the Spring Hill Panthers to overcome Nov. 10 in Tyler as Van advanced to the Area round of the Class 4A, Division 2, state football plays with a 63-34 victory.

Vandals facing Aubrey Nov. 17 in Area championship round at Royse City

Body DAVID BARBER davidb@vanzandtnews.com Two teams with identical season records who have never met before on the football field will do battle to see who will advance in the Class 4A, Division 2, state playoffs as the Van Vandals will take on the Aubrey Chapparals in a 7:30 p.m.
