Stolen vehicle report leads to arrest of wanted felon

A wanted felon was stopped by Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Department patrol deputies resulting in additional charges being filed, according to VZC Sheriff’s Department Captain Pete O’Reilly. Deputy Juan Cortez took a stolen vehicle report on March 10.

VZC road cleanup begins following last year’s storms

ANDY REESE Van Zandt County Judge Van Zandt County experienced significant tree damage from May and June storms last year, downing many trees throughout the county. Road and bridge crews worked to get the trees removed from the roads, tossing them into the ditches to clear the roads for traffic.

WP teen killed, alleged intoxicated driver charged

At approximately 2:49 a.m., the Terrell Police Department received a 911 call indicating a crash notification on a cell phone in the area of State Highway 205 and Colquitt Road.
