Correspondent The Wills Point City Council held a special session Thursday, July 31, in the City Hall/Municipal Building. The full council was present for a quorum.

December 16, 1965 – July 29, 2025 Services for Amy Jo Scott, 59, of Grand Saline, were held Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Sis Delana Wheeler officiating. Interment was in Starr Cemetery.

October 13, 1962 – August 1, 2025 Joanette Reid Estess, 62, of Edgewood passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, in Canton. Joanette was born on October 13, 1962, in Wills Point to Howard Pershing Reid and Anna Mae Willingham Reid.

September 9, 1970- August 2, 2025 Susan Lide Turner was born on September 9, 1970, in Dallas to parents, Don and Glenda, and sister, Jill Lide. She passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 54.

January 4, 1962 – August 1, 2025 James Dean Sapp, 63, of Wills Point, passed away on August 1, 2025, in Dallas. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service time.

May 14, 1938 – August 1, 2025 Delia Mozelle Flowers was born on May 14, 1938, in Wills Point to Albert William and Mildred Inez Hunter. Dee passed away August 1, 2025, at her apartment surrounded by her family.

March 16, 1942 – July 28, 2025 Services for Douglas Marshall Toliver, 83, of Canton, were held Friday, August 1, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Larry Toliver officiating. Interment was in Haven of Memories.
