November 26, 1943 – October 21, 2025 Bobby Alfred Giles, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community servant, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and service. Born on November 26, 1943, in Greenville, Texas, Bobby was the son of Lloyd and Ouida Rice Giles.

Early Voting for the General Election ended Oct. 31 in Van Zandt County.

July 9, 1921 – October 24, 2025 Services for Willowdeen Ray Boydston Lindsey, 104, of Terrell, were held 10 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Terrell, with Pastor John Lowrie officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline. Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.

Republican Club of Van Zandt County Vice-President Suzanne Duke recognized public officials in attendance Oct. 27 during the regular monthly meeting of the Republican Club of VZC at the VZC Farm Bureau Event Center in Canton.
