The Republican Women of Van Zandt County is part of the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW). This club provides the avenue for women to influence policy, develop candidates, and elect the leaders of Texas.
The Republican Women of Van Zandt County recently announced their slate of officers for 2025-26 which included, left to right, President Amanda Gray; Vice-President Kelly Hernandez; Treasurer Cindy Hardin; and Secretary Barbara Crow. As I reflect on my experience writing the articles and editorials for the Van Zandt County Readers’ Choice, I am struck by the profound sense of community I encountered. Through one-on-one conversations with local business owners and community members, I discovered a deep sense of connection that binds our county together, one that transcends the boundaries of small towns.

Van Zandt County Pct. 4 Commissioner Brandon Barton and VZC Judge Andy Reese reminded those in attendance at the Jan. 29 regular meeting of the VZC Commissioners Court that there will be a VZC Pct. 4 Town Hall Meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3 at Edom City Limits.
