Body City of Grand Saline Public Safety Director/Chief of Police/ Fire Chief Jeremy Barker confirmed through an e-mail to the News Oct. 14 that there was an arrest made following the Edgewood/Grand Saline varsity football game Oct. 10 at Indian Memorial Stadium in Grand Saline.

Body Following the approval of their proposed tax rate for 2025 Sept. 29, the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court agreed to adopt the VZC budget for fiscal year 2026 during another special called meeting Oct. 3.

Body Sheri Raylynn Roach, 47, of Grand Saline was arrested Oct. 3 on a Van Zandt County Grand July indictment charging her with misapplication of fiduciary property, a State Jail Felony, according to information released by VZC Criminal District Attorney Tonda Curry.
