Tom Lang, director of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens stated the event was open to contractors, departmental staff, and their families, retirees of the department, and their families.

One remains in critical condition after wreck that killed five

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Alexis Gonzalez-Companioni fell asleep at the wheel, causing his semitruck to plow into stopped traffic on the highway, causing a chain reaction.
