A look back at the evolution of the Van Zandt County Regional Airport, formerly known as Wills Point Municipal Airport, reveals a remarkable transformation that has shaped the region’s aviation landscape. The early roots of the airport, located on State Highway 64 in Wills Point, trace back to the 1960s with its activation officially recorded in August 1966.
