Retired Kaufman County Judge to oversee Anthony appeal

A retired former Kaufman County Judge has been chosen to oversee the appeal of Karmelo Anthony as he attempts to overturn his recent murder conviction. Visiting Judge Sid Harle recused Collin County District Judge John Roach, who oversaw Anthony’s murder trial in June 2026.

Memorial Bricks Available to Support Edom Historical Museum

The Edom Historical Society is now accepting orders for memorial bricks as part of a fundraising effort to support the Edom Historical Museum. For a $100 donation, individuals may purchase an engraved brick honoring a family, loved one, or anyone they wish to remember.
