Eagles lone undefeated team remaining in VZC

davidb@vanzandtnews.com After three weeks of non-district varsity football action, the Canton Eagles are now the only remaining undefeated team in Van Zandt County. Depending on which district they are competing in, teams have either one or two non-district contests remaining before the battles for district championships and potential positioning for post-season play begins.

Vandals, Eagles only remaining unbeaten VZC football teams

davidb@vanzandtnews.com After two weeks of non-district action, the Van Vandals and the Canton Eagles are the only Van Zandt County varsity football teams with 2-0 records. The Grand Saline Indians and the Edgewood Bulldogs suffered their first losses of the 2025 campaign Sept. 5 and the Wills Point Tigers bounced back from a disappointing season- opening loss to shutout Venus to improve their season mark to 1-1.
