Body County cross country programs put the finishing touches on their final district tune-up last week, traveling to Twin Oaks Ranch to compete at the Lindale Eagles Invitational Oct. 6.

Lady Vandals drop to second in district

Body The Van Lady Vandals were a team on a mission throughout the early stages of District 16-4A play, entering last week with a 5-0 record heading into a matchup with rival Canton Sept. 30.

Indians rally past rival Bulldogs

Body The hopes that any Van Zandt County football team might complete a perfect regular season officially came to an end last week as Grand Saline stormed back from an early deficit to hand Edgewood its first setback of the season.
