Brooklynn Peoples, daughter of Cassie and Josh Peoples, was crowned as the 2025 Miss Van Zandt County March 29 during the 67th Annual VZC Fair and Rodeo at the VZC Fairgrounds in Canton. The Canton Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has announced a Groundbreaking Ceremony for a significant expansion of Industrial Park #1, located at 1171 Industry Drive, Canton. The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7.
An estimated 20 citizens were in attendance April 1 for a Town Hall Meeting at Van City Hall to discuss an upcoming $3.5 million Bond Election scheduled for May 3.
