‘Blessings Barn’ to host ribbon cutting, open house

What started out as a ministry that was going to last three to four months has taken on an expanded identity that is now going on three years of service to the Martins Mill Community and beyond through the efforts of several church members at the Holly Springs Methodist Church.

Governor’s Public Safety Office awards grant funding

The East Texas Council of Governments has announced $4.5 million in grants from the Governor’s Public Safety Office awarded to East Texas jurisdictions and nonprofits. The Governor’s Public Safety Office administers federal and state grant funding to promote strategies that improve public safety, support victims of crime, prevent terrorism, and prepare communities for the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to Texans.
