Based on outstanding accomplishments and dedication to student success, Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) has been selected to participate in Talent Strong Texas Pathways. The $16 million, five-year statewide economic mobility grant administered by the Texas Success Center is designed to increase the number of credentialed Texans prepared for high-demand careers that offer a living wage.

Years of behind the scenes efforts and analyses were brought to fruition Feb. 15 with the Edgewood ISD Board of Trustees officially throwing their support behind an effort to bring a $39 million bond proposal before voters during the May 6 election cycle.

WP man arrested following welfare check

DAVID KAPITAN sports@vanzandtnews.com A 49-year-old Wills Point man was arrested and booked into the Van Zandt County Jail Feb. 20 following an investigation that revealed he had been keeping the deceased body of his mother at a residence located along County Road 3828.
