The Grand Saline Friends of the Library is beginning its annual membership drive with letters going out to those who have joined in the past. The membership drive is the Friends’ main fundraising event each year.

VZC athletes named as scholarship winners

The Texas Area Basketball Association of Basketball Offi cials (TABO) recently named 13 boys and girls varsity basketball players as area recipients of scholarship awards. Among those area athletes named as scholarship award winners were Payton Bray of Canton, Shelby Burns of Van, Kate Lindsey of Martins Mill, and Blair McPherson of Edgewood.

Precinct, county convention dates released

Representatives from several law enforcement agencies, First Responders, school district, and city officials throughout Van Zandt County were among those gathered to hear and share information regarding VZC’s plans for the Monday, April 8 Total Solar Eclipse event.

Over 700 votes cast during first two days
