davidb@vanzandtnews.com Early Voting ended March 1 for the March 5 Primary Election. As of the end of the business day Feb. 28, a total of 3,077 votes had been cast during the first nine days of Early Voting for the March 5 Primary Election, according to the Van Zandt County Clerk’s office.

During the Feb. 19 candidate forum at The Silver Spur Resort in Canton, four candidates running for the Van Zandt County Pct. 1 seat shared their views, Incumbent Chad LaPrade is being challenged by Mitch Curtis, Brandon Holland, and Mike Taylor as the candidates took turns addressing the audience and sharing their visions for the precinct.
