Carter BloodCare has scheduled a blood drive from 2-6 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the Walmart Supercenter located at 603 East State Highway 243 in Canton.

The contract was approved following a presentation by Animal Protection League Director Sheila Phillips and a recommendation by VZC Pct.

editor@terrelltribune.com A man was hit and killed on Interstate 20 in Terrell in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 17. The Terrell Police Department received two calls from concerned motorists driving westbound on Interstate 20 about a person standing in the roadway.

One of the most highly anticipated events of the spring in Van Zandt County resumes March 25-30 with the annual VZC Fair at the VZC Fairgrounds in Canton. Admittance to the grounds will be $5.00 per car and $1.00 for walk-ins.

While no final decision has been made yet on whether or not to have school open or closed Monday, April 8 during the Total Solar Eclipse Day, Van ISD Superintendent Don Dunn expressed concerns during a recent public appearance.
