sports@vanzandtnews.com The Van Lady Vandal Vandals were the standard bearers among Van Zandt County volleyball programs in 2021, reaching the Regional Semifinals before bowing out to Celina. While the playoffs are still looming over the horizon, Van has looked sharp as ever since district play began, moving to 3-0 overall last week with convincing wins over both Athens and longtime rival Mabank.

The Eaglettes easily reached their first goal, racing out of the gates with an 18-7 record while tangling against a slate of talented opponents throughout non-district.
