Republican Club of Van Zandt County President The October meeting of the Republican Club of Van Zandt County will be an overview of the 17 Constitutional Amendment Propositions on the Nov. 4 ballot.

davidb@vanzandtnews.com Implementation of traffic control measures on VZCR 4500 in Ben Wheeler was the topic of discussion during a Public Hearing, according to Transportation Code Section 251.152, during the regular meeting of the Van Zandt County Commissioners Oct. 8.

The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office released the following arrest report from Oct. 7-14.

Due to the Van Zandt County/Sarah Normal Library being used as an Early Voting location for the Nov. 4 General Election, the monthly meeting of the VZC Genealogy Society will not be meeting at the library this month.

The Jalapeno Tree, located at 17270 Interstate 20 Frontage Road in Canton, will be hosting a Carter BloodCare drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Early Voting hours and locations for the Nov. 4 General Election were released by the Van Zandt County Clerk’s office.
