Spring concert fundraiser set for March 9 in Canton

Body The Spirit and Squirt Horse Rescue Spring Concert is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 at the Van Zandt County Fairgrounds located at 24792 State Highway 64 in Canton. The concert will feature ‘Jimmy Lewis & 8 Second Ride Band.

Over 700 votes cast during first two days

Body davidb@vanzandtnews.com As of the end of the business day Feb. 21, a total of 732 votes had been cast during the first two days of Early Voting for the March 5 Primary Election, according to the Van Zandt County Clerk’s office.

Meeting held to discuss VZ County preparations for Solar Eclipse event

Body Representatives from several law enforcement agencies, First Responders, school district, and city officials throughout Van Zandt County were among those gathered to hear and share information regarding VZC’s plans for the Monday, April 8 Total Solar Eclipse event.

Final list of city, school candidates released
