The City of Van is inviting the public to attend a special Veterans Memorial Dedication Ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day) at McMillan Park, located at 712 East Main Street.

AARP Driver Safety Course set for Nov. 21 in Canton

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the Van Zandt County/Sarah Norman Library, located at 317 First Monday Lane (FM 859) in Canton, will be sponsoring a driver safety class from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21

This course is designed for drivers 50 years of age and older primarily. The course helps you learn to compensate for the effects of passing years have on eyesight, hearing, and reflexes.

Most participants will qualify for insurance premium reductions of up to 10 percent off their policy cost for the next three years.
