The Martins Mill Mustangs advanced to the Class 2A regional boys’ tournament with a 36-25 victory over Grapeland in the regional quarterfinals in Athens Feb. 27.
With two victories in the Class 2A regional tournament in Athens Feb. 23, 24, the Martins Mill Lady Mustangs advanced to the state tournament in San Antonio.
The Spirit and Squirt Horse Rescue Spring Concert is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 at the Van Zandt County Fairgrounds located at 24792 State Highway 64 in Canton. The concert will feature ‘Jimmy Lewis & 8 Second Ride Band.’ There will be free entry, but parking will be $20 per vehicle.
