The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to assist the Scurry Fire Department on Aug. 18.

With a standing room only crowd in attendance, the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court unanimously modified their fiscal year 2024 budget and approved their FY 2024 tax rate during a special called meeting Aug. 23.
