Vandals end season with Area championship loss to Aubrey

Hopes of moving on to the regional semifinal round of the Class 4A, Division 2, state football playoffs came to an end for the Van Vandals Nov. 17 as they lost to the Aubrey Chapparals, 35-14, in the Area Championship game at Royse City.

Van council votes 3-2 to keep stop sign at intersection

After hearing results of traffi c data over a several week period, the Van City Council voted 3-2 in favor of keeping a stop sign in place at the intersection of East Pennsylvania Street and Magnolia Street.
