Palmer discusses revised fee schedule, outdoor burning concerns

The Edgewood boys and girls varsity track teams competed March 6 at the Blue Bird Relays in Wills Point. In the boys’ division, Edgewood finished in seventh place with 49 points.

Mustangs capture first state title since 1949

Following the lead of the girls’ team the week before, the Martins Mill Mustangs’ varsity boys’ basketball team came home with their own Class 2A, Division 2, State Championship trophy as they knocked off two-time defending state champion Lipan, 55-43, March 6 at The Alamodome in San Antonio.

Van EDC receives state recognition for second consecutive year

For the second year in a row, the City of Van Economic Development Corporation (EDC) was recognized with an Economic Excellence Recognition award from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC). The award recipients for 2024 were announced during the 2025 TEDC Winter Conference Feb.
