Eagles, Vandals among District 16-4A competitors

Bulldogs claim rivalry bragging rights

editor@vanzandtnews.com The Edgewood Bulldogs made their way to Grand Saline on Tuesday night, taking on the Indians for the first of two scheduled district matchups between the programs this season. Edgewood would make it look easy in the contest, pounding out 15 hits on dent on the scoreboard during the first two innings, keeping the score tied at 0-0 heading into the top of the third. The tenor of the game would change from there as Edgewood plated three runs to seize control.

Early surge carries Lady Indians to win

The Grand Saline Lady Indians accomplished a pair of goals on Tuesday night against Edgewood, building up positive momentum with the playoffs looming just over the horizon sweep of the Lady Dogs. Grand Saline and Edgewood had met once before this season with the Lady Indians powering their way to an 8-0 win back on March 24.
