In the varsity boys’ division of the Lone Oak cross-country meet, Ty Rotan of Edgewood finished in first place and set a personal record at the course with a time of 17:36. Other Edgewood participants in the varsity boys’ division included Kamden Davis, 22:34; Bryson Lumpkin, 23:30; and Jonathan Martinez, 25:10.

VZC football teams win four out of five games Sept. 20

Sports Correspondent It was an overall good Friday night for varsity football teams in Van Zandt County Sept. 20 as the Grand Saline Indians, the Canton Eagles, the Van Vandals, and the Edgewood Bulldogs came out with impressive victories while the Wills Point Tigers suffered a narrow four-point defeat.
