Emergency declaration for storm repairs approved

Beekeeping a lifelong dream for Canton resident

davidb@vanzandtnews.com For Ernie McCoulskey of Canton, the thought of becoming a beekeeper did not come overnight. “I first got the bug about these bees when I was seven or eight years old,” said the 65-year old beekeeper.
Ernie McCoulskey of Canton currently takes care of around 10 hives on his property. Each hive could have as many as 50,000 to 60,000 bees, especially during the springtime. Courtesy photo
