Mayor Crow celebrating 25 years of service in Edom

Body davidb@vanzandtnews.com Barbara Crow’s decision to first run for mayor of Edom did not come overnight. Looking back, Crow said that she began thinking about it 10 years before she actually signed up to run against the incumbent in May 2001.
Barbara Crow, 75, is celebrating 25 years as mayor of Edom this month. Crow was first elected as mayor in May 2001 and has not faced an opponent in any of her re-election efforts since then. The mayor began her current four-year term in November 2024. Crow said that it was too early to discuss whether this will be her final term in office. Photo by David Barber
