Hotel allowance increase approved by commissioners

Body Jolie Parker, a graduate of Wills Point High School, recently raised $1,500.00 for the ABC Room in Van Zandt County to help provide Christmas bags for the Child Protective Services (CPS) children currently being taken care of by the state.

Annual ‘Turkey Shoot’ brings in record breaking numbers

Body The Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial held their annual ‘Turkey Shoot’ just before Thanksgiving. There were record breaking numbers and proceeds this year. Turkeys were donated by Brookshires and Walmart.
