My name is Don Kirkpatrick, a lifetime Republican and former Van Zandt County Judge. I am writing this letter to announce my endorsement for my friend and Republican Conservative Candidate Brent Money in the upcoming run-off election for Texas State Representative HD2 on January 30th, 2024.

A Stage 5 Drought Contingency Plan that was put into place by the City of Van, effective Jan. 4, was officially lifted Jan.

An overflow crowd at the Van Zandt County Farm Bureau Event Center in Canton Jan. 9 was in attendance for the one and only VZC debate featuring the two remaining Republican Party candidates that are competing for the current Texas House District 2 state representative seat.

The Van Zandt County Child Welfare Board works hard for around 100 foster children in VZC. They provide allowances, clothing, birthdays, peewee sports fees, college tuition, rehabilitative equipment for injuries, Christmas presents, and other expenses.
