State Champion Lady Mustangs honored at banquet

Body Lots of memories were shared as the magical Class 2A State Championship season achieved by the Martins Mill Lady Mustang varsity basketball team was remembered during a special banquet held in their honor.

Proclamations approved by commissioners

Body Three proclamations received unanimous approval from the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court during its regular meeting April 10. Each proclamation was approved following the readings by VZC Judge Andy Reese.
Van Zandt County Clerk Susan Strickland discussed a proposed budget amendment to move funds within the election budget. The $14,500 fund request would be moved from election expenses into personnel costs. In a 3-1 vote, the VZC Commissioners Court approved the request during their April 10 regular meeting.
