Leadership VZC recognizes graduates during ceremony

Leadership Van Zandt County recognized their Class 5 graduates June 4 during a special ceremony at The Silver Spur Resort in Canton. Leadership VZC is a program sponsored by the Canton Texas Chamber of Commerce, and a committee of business individuals is in charge of the program, according to Canton Texas Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kelli Ridgway.

A one day delay due to inclement weather did not dampen the spirits of those involved in the Van High School Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony May 25 at Van’s Memorial Stadium. Former Van School Board President and former board member Scott Thomas welcomed those in attendance and led in the invocation.

The Class of 2024 graduates at Martins Mill High School received their diplomas during their graduation ceremony May 23 in the MMHS Gymnasium. The Presentation of Colors was conducted by the Tyler Civil Air Patrol at the beginning of the graduation ceremony.

Grand Saline holds graduation indoors due to inclement weather

A change in location did not dampen the spirits of those involved for the Grand Saline High School Class of 2024 graduation ceremony May 24. With graduation moved from Carter Elliott Field at Indian Memorial Stadium to the GSHS Gymnasium, GSHS Class of 2024 Graduating Senior Payton Butterfield welcomed those in attendance.
