Grier hits seven threes in Eagle win

Body The Canton Eagles faced a tall task Dec. 17, clashing with perennial playoff qualifiers Commerce in a non-district showdown. Canton would have to battle down to the wire in the contest, fending off a furious second half comeback bid by the Tigers to pull out a 47-45 win.

Lady Vandals win Grand Saline tourney

Body The Van Lady Vandals stayed close to home last week, making the short trip to Grand Saline to compete in the annual Eddie Rogers Memorial Tournament. Van would go on to dominate the event, winning all four games by at least 20 points each to claim this year’s varsity title.

Lady Dogs finish third at Hoopfest
