May 13, 1944 – June 14, 2024

A graveside service was held for Loyd “Decker” Easley, 80 of Canton on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Haven of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. Decker, as he was fondly called by family and friends, went home to the Lord on June 11, 2024, in Canton. He was born in Athens on May 13, 1944, to Truman Easley and Cozette Weatherford Easley.

Decker grew up in the Canton area and graduated from Canton High School. He was a hardworking man. Decker enjoyed driving his tractor and tending to his cows, however, his best days were days spent with his grandchildren. Decker loved his family and family get togethers. He will be dearly missed but lives on in the hearts and memories of all that knew and loved him.

Decker is preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Cozette Easley; brother, Danny Easley; nephews, Ron Hopson, Austin Easley and Brandon Lunceford; niece, April Easley.

He is survived by daughters: Amy Autry and husband, Tom; Amber Depauw and husband, Josh; grandchildren: Tyler Autry, Carly Autry, Blake Depauw and Jenna Depauw; brothers, Grady Easley and wife, Janet; Ferrell Easley and wife, Linda; sisters, Donnie Hopson and Shearlene Jarrard and husband, Bill; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
