A funeral service was held for Judith Janeva Smith, 84, of Canton on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Blake Matthews officiating.

Judith passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023, at home. She was born October 21, 1938, to Lloyd Schwartz and Ruth Connoy Schwartz.

Judith was a long-time resident of Canton. She married her one true love, William Abner Smith, on July 1, 1962. The couple had 56 wonderful years together at his passing in 2018. Judith was a member of the Canton Church of Christ. Judith was dedicated as a caregiver and overseer of the residents of MHMR so they could reach their best potential. She enjoyed organizing old family photos, but quilting was her favorite pastime.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ruth Schwartz, husband, William Smith.

Judith is survived by her son, William “Tony” Smith, daughter, Barbara Smith.

A visitation was held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the funeral home.

Interment was at Holly Springs Cemetery in Van Zandt County.
