A funeral service is being held for Patricia (Odom) McFarland, of Canton, on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10 AM, at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Visitation will begin at 9 AM until service time.

Patricia McFarland, age 76, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in Canton, Texas.

She was born on March 25, 1950, in Greenville, Texas, to the late Jesse and Helen Odom. Patricia grew up in Irving, Texas, where she graduated from MacArthur High School before attending Dallas Baptist University beginning in 1969. While raising her two beloved daughters in Irving, she worked diligently at Barclays American Financial.

In 1992, Patricia embarked on a beautiful new chapter, moving to Canton, Texas, with her husband, Troy McFarland. Together, they established and ran a local quail farm. A dedicated member of the community, Patricia, also shared her talents with the Canton Newspaper, where she worked for over 20 years and First Monday Trade Days for over 10 years.

Known for her gentle nature and great sense of humor, Patricia brought warmth and laughter to everyone who knew her. She had a deep passion for genealogy, and scrapbooking, and photography which was beautifully highlighted when she won an award for a photograph of one of her treasured bird dogs.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Helen Odom, and her beloved husband, Troy McFarland.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Ferrill and her husband, Barry, and Heather White and her husband, Todd; her stepson, Troy Jim McFarland and his wife, Kelly; and her first husband, Don Baker. She was the proud grandmother of David White and Naomi McFarland. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Odom Welch; her niece, Michelle Walton and her husband, Charlie; her grandnephew, Trevor Floyd; and her great-grandnephew, Memphis Floyd; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Serving as pallbearers are Troy Jim McFarland, Barry Ferrill, David White, Trevor Floyd, Tommy Chandler, and David Flores.

Honorary pallbearer is Todd White.
