Services for Brenda Michiel Plaster, 68, of Canton were held Sept. 29, 2021, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Brandon Bachtel and Max Callahan officiating. A graveside service was held in Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
Brenda was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sept. 24, 2021, in Canton. She was born on Nov. 19, 1952, in Muenster, Texas, to a proud set of parents, James and Billie Jo Minto.
Brenda spent most of her life working in billing and insurance with companies like JCPenney’s and UT Southwestern in Dallas. But her favorite and final job was working for Canton High School in content mastery. She loved helping children, especially in math for that was her major in college at SWTSU.
On Sept. 8, 1998, Gary and Brenda finally tied the knot after many years together enjoying such things as traveling, driving around and getting lost and being around the family and farm animals. She loved cows and birds, shopping, cooking, staying in hotels, talking to people, shelling purple hull peas, working crossword puzzles and feeding the hummingbirds.
Between the two of them, they raised four children, James Plaster of Dallas, Michael Banks of Canton, Joci Luchenburg of Sidney, Montana, and Kassi Taylor of Center; five grandchildren, Patrick Plaster, Skyler Plaster, Deanna Childers, Crystal Childers and A.J. Plaster.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.
