Reapplication of grant approved by commissioners

davidb@vanzandtnews.com Following a request from the Van Zandt County Criminal District Attorney’s office, the VZC Commissioners Court authorized the go-ahead to reapply for the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant to fund the Victims Assistance Project for the 2023-24 term.

Rowe relieved of duties following arrest

The Grand Saline Police Department issued a community- wide press release via social media last week, announcing the arrest of a suspect identified as Patrick Ray Rowe of Grand Saline on two charges: Sexual Assault of a Child and the Online Solicitation of a Minor.
