A request for volunteer assistance at the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Department was tabled Dec. 7 by the VZC Commissioners Court during its Erin McLeaish and VZC Sheriff Joe Carter were present to make the request to the commissioners’ court.

No action taken on new social media policy

Following a lengthy discussion that involved council members as well as some citizens sharing their views, the Van City Council decided to take no action on a proposed new City of Van Social Media policy during its Nov. 15 regular monthly meeting.
