Spring concert fundraiser set for March 9 in Canton

The Spirit and Squirt Horse Rescue Spring Concert is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 at the Van Zandt County Fairgrounds located at 24792 State Highway 64 in Canton. The concert will feature ‘Jimmy Lewis & 8 Second Ride Band.’ There will be free entry, but parking will be $20 per vehicle.

Agreement with Kaufman County to house inmates approved

davidb@vanzandtnews.com Following a presentation and recommendation by Van Zandt County Sheriff Joe Carter and VZC Sheriff’s Department Captain Melonie Williams, the VZC Commissioners Court approved an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Kaufman County to house inmates, when needed, at their facility.
