Two members of the Edom City Council submitted their resignations during the regular monthly meeting of the council May 14. “The council accepted the resignation of council member Denise Basking with many thanks for her years of service,” said Edom Mayor Barbara Crow.

Jett Taylor of Grand Saline placed in two different events during the recent Class 3A State Track Meet in Austin. Taylor, who played quarterback in Grand Saline and will be playing college football at Navy, finished in second place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.48 seconds.
