Body Van Zandt County Veterans Service Officer Tommy Forgue of Canton was in the Army’s 10th Mountain Division Operation connected with the 5th Special Forces Group. He received two Bronze Stars and over 30 Ribbons and Citations, spending two tours in Kuwait and Iraq.

Body Elwood Baptist Church in Wills Point will be having their Homecoming to mark 128 years since its organization in 1898, on Sunday, April 19. “There will be special music brought by members of the church,” said a church spokesperson.

Van, Canton among District 15-4A competitors

Body Familiar foes Canton and Van continued their rivalry on the track last week, making their way to Lindale to compete at this year’s District 15-4A Meet April 9. Individual Varsity Boys results included: -100: Ian Hopson, Van, fourth, 11.38; Braxton Bass, Van, fifth, 11.5.

Tigers play host to District 13-4A Meet

Body The Wills Point Tiger track and field program were able to enjoy the comforts of home for a second consecutive week April 8, following up their annual Bluebird Relays April 2 by hosting the District 13-4A Meet.
