The Van Lady Vandals and the Canton Eaglettes were well represented on the District 15-4A All-District Volleyball Team that was recently released. Van Jordan Flodder and Kayla White of the Lady Vandals were named as the ‘Co-Offensive Players of the Year’ in the district.

davidb@vanzandtnews.com Prior to a scheduled meeting that took place at Canton City Hall Jan. 16 regarding potential Van Zandt County Road and Bridge Tax distributions for cities in VZC, Van Mayor Ernie Burns presented an update on the topic to the Van City Council during its regular monthly meeting Jan. 8.

The Edgewood City Council convened on Jan. 12 where various topics were discussed, including community initiatives, infrastructure projects, and municipal leadership changes.

Andy Reese has announced his re-election campaign for Van Zandt County Judge. “It is an honor to serve the people of Van Zandt County as your County Judge for the last three years,” said Reese.
