The defending Class 2A state champion Martins Mill Lady Mustangs began their title defense in impressive fashion Feb. 10 as they blew past Latexo, 105-42.
The Wills Point Lady Tigers got off to a strong start in post-season play Feb. 11 as they outlasted Paris, 31-27. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Maddy Allen with 10 points. The Lady Tigers advanced to the Area round of the Class 4A state playoffs against Mabank Feb. 13 in Canton, but results were not available at press time.
