Steven G. Brown, 71, of Tyler, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. He was born April 4, 1951, to parents Oscar and Ethel Brown. Steve was baptized at the Canton Church of Christ when he was 11 years old.

Paula Dan Knowles Ray, 74, a wife, mother, and grandmother, passed peacefully next to her Bible on May 3, 2022. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Eubank Funeral Home, Canton at 1 p.m., with a reception beforehand at noon.

The Canton Eagles found themselves in a rare position last week, opening the playoffs against a higher seeded opponent after finishing fourth overall in District 14-4A play.
