Jerry Paul Boswell, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at his home.

Graveside services for Era “Lucille” Burgin, 97, of Terrell, were held Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Visitation was held Oct. 25, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Services for the Rev. Donald Royce Childress, Sr., 89, of Wills Point, were held Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Canton with the Rev. Ernie McCoulskey and Pastor Mike Roberson officiating. Interment was in Haven of Memories.

Reba was a lifetime resident deeply rooted in the Fruitvale community. She devoted her life to caring for her family and providing service to her community. She volunteered her time and skills to many organizations and events, including volunteering at the Fruitvale school for more than four decades. She had tremendous energy and was always working on one project or another. She sewed and quilted and crocheted, making quilts and afghans, hats, scarves, and other gifts that are treasured by the recipients. She grew miles of vegetables and canned them all for someone to enjoy. She worked harder than people half her age, cutting and chopping acres of brush and weeds to keep things neat. Her great love was tending her flower beds, sharing bulbs and cuttings with anyone who asked. Each Easter, she made sure all the family graves in cemeteries across the county were tidy and had fresh flowers. Reba was proud of her pilot’s license and of earning her GED later in life after quitting high school a week before finals to get married. Reba was a member of the Lawrence Springs Baptist Church.

John Melvin Womack, 90, passed away on Oct. 15, 2021, at Magnolia, after a brief illness. He was born in Hartnett County, North Carolina, and was the son of Eugene Clifford Womack and Nancy Sharpe Womack.

A memorial service for Elizabeth “Lynn” Maucieri, 63, of Canton, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Eubank Funeral Home. Lynn passed away Oct. 21, 2021, in Canton. She was born Aug. 26, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois.

Funeral services for Roger Dale Saxon, 74, of Terrell, were held Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Graveside services for Pauline Beeler, 99, of Point, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Creagleville Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline. Pauline Beeler, 99, passed away Oct. 25, 2021, in Royce City. She was born March 3, 1922, in Lindale, to Emmett and Gladys Irene Gilstrap Cofer.

Joe Mack Poe, 91, of Tyler, passed away on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, in Tyler.
