VZC needs a VFW Post, says Curtis

American Legion Post 156 Officer Dan Curtis (USAR, retired), along with other veterans, lent a helping hand to a Van Zandt County veteran throughout the week. Curtis, who is an officer with Post 156 in Emory, as well as an officer in the VFW of Seven Points and a board member of the VZC Veterans Memorial, said he sees a need for VZC to have a VFW Post.

Two arrested in VZC for animal cruelty

Two arrests have been made by the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office in connection with two different animal cruelty cases after the SPCA of Texas filed criminal charges against the individuals involved.
