Sally Nan Brooks Smith of Canton passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 4, 2022. Sally, known to those closest to her as Sally Nan, was born on January 29, 1956, to John Earl Brooks and Sallie Dwade Cabaniss Brooks in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

A funeral service was held for Roger Dale Bateman, Sr., 73, of Canton, on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Eubank Funeral Home, with Max Callahan officiating. Roger passed away peacefully surrounded by family, after battling cancer for two years, September 5, 2022.

James Robertson of Garland passed away Sept. 2, 2022.

Jerry (Mickey) Gillean, 51, of Canton, passed away suddenly on August 18, 2022, after returning home from his trip to Wyoming. Mickey was born on May 12, 1971, in Okinawa, Japan.

John Dempsey Neill was born March 9, 1931, on the family farm where he lived his whole life until he died at the age of 91 on August 28, 2022. He was married to Doris Neill for 26 years and they had four children together, Anita, Sharla, Jason, and Edith.

Services for Herschel E. Quarles, Jr., 93, of Grand Saline, were held Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Monte Pentecost officiating.
